Ease of access. Great staff. Really good breakfast. A pleasant break.

No bath, but not a complaint.

    Perfect

Parklands is easy to find, has plenty of parking for residents and a very pleasant garden. It is ideally situated for the city of Oxford with frequent buses stopping nearby. Also it is just a short walk to Summertown where there are resyaurants, pub and shops. The hotel is smart and very comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

    Couldn't fault anything.

    Great

The hotel is within walking distance of Oxford city centre and parking is available making this an additional attraction; rooms were clean warm and spacious.

Friendly staff, clean room, excellent breakfast. Quiet location and little noise from adjacent rooms. Just a few minutes walk from the cntre of town and colleges.

    Nice

Breakfast was of good quality and served quickly

Breakfast didnot start until 7.30 and I had an 8.15 start meeting

    Great

efficiency of staff, esp when dealing with our concerns. cleanliness of room. speed of service at breakfast.

  • 9.2
    Perfect

The location meant you were able to walk into central Oxford (15-20 mins) and leave the car in the hotel car park meaning you didn't have to worry about transport or parking fees.

Not major faults whatsoever. Poor Wi Fi reception in some hotel areas. Becomes annoying when access is intermittent.

    Very good

After reading other reviews I was expecting just a B&B but was pleasantly surprised when I could at least order a night-cap and one that was very reasonably priced! Thank you.

    Very good

The day manager was friendly and helpful, and allowed me to leave the car in the carpark whilst I went into the centre - an essential amenity in Oxford. The breakfast was hot and freshly prepared, and served just before closing time of 9 am without any fuss. The level of cleanliness is very good, and the lounge space pleasant.

The room was a bit poky, with a small shower cubicle only in the bathroom. There was some intrusion of road noise.

    Nice

The room (32) was better than others we had been in before. The lady at breakfast was very helpful as I was dashing to London on an early train & my husband dropped me at the station & came back for a full breakfast.

Despite above, I thought breakfast could have started at 7am & then my husband and I woud have eaten together.

    Great

Good room, warm and comfortable with high quality facilities. Breakfast was also enjoyable.

    Great

After a stressful journey down involving a collision with a lorry tyre on the motorway making us a bit rushed arriving at the hotel to a great welcome fron the gentleman at the reception who showed us to our room and was more than willing to book us a taxi for the wedding we were attending. He was very efficient and really did make us feel we could approach him about anything. The room was very comfortable, modern decor, nice wall mounted TV, clean bathroom. All you would expect from a mid price hotel but in a bed and breakfast. The breakfast in the morning was very tasty and served again in very clean, modern surroundings. All staff looked very proffesional in very smart dress. After dinner a slick check out from the same gentlemen

Breakfast very good but it was not a hotel but b&b, which was dissapointing. Thought it was a hotel with a bar when booking.

Yes. It was not a Hotel.

    Perfect

It was close to my daughter's oxford college St Anne's - staff extremely helpful, breakfast lovely - no black pudding though! Their commitment to upgrade the rooms 1st class , our room was being improved next week but really was very good standard for the price. Great tv with all digital channels and teletext (better than Thistle hotels in London I was at previous week).

Stairs a bit steep - if you struggle with stairs ask for a 1st or ground floor room.
